“Worst place ever!”

  , Fl
Every instinct told me to take the negative comments about this inn seriously. I should have listened to my instincts. This is the worst place I've had the misfortune to stay, hands down! My experience started at check-in. The owner arrived (in his Mercedes), and he began to show the desk manager how to close the books. "I'm sorry I have to keep this gentleman waiting," he said, "but I'm in a hurry." So I waited. While the desk manager was courteous with me, the owner's own needs outweighed those of his customers. The room was something to behold! The floor was uneven and unstable. The bed linens were worn and dingy. The pillows were worse than any pillows I've thrown out -- lumpy and thin from wear. The same applied to the bath linens. The furniture was in a state of disrepair, and deserved to be ripped apart and burned! When I turned on the air conditioning, the compressor made so much noise that I knew I would be unable to sleep, along with my neighbors. I slept without air conditioning, and this was at the beginning of a hot spell. The mattress was worn, with ripped fabric hanging from the bottom of the box spring. This room was no bargain at any price. I am amazed that the owner won't invest enough money for new linens and pillows, and have someone come in to service things like the air conditioning. But then again, the owner apparently has no regard for his guests. The morning's "hot breakfast" consisted of mini doughnuts, coffee and orange juice. I went to McDonald's for breakfast. There are many nicer places along 192 if you're heading for Walt Disney World. In short, don't stay here. You're worth the extra money for a clean, comfortable night's sleep. If anyone goes to the Knight's Inn website for this inn, they will see only 3 reviews, which are positive reviews. The rest of the reviews on the other sites all echo my sentiments.
