“Rundown & Unsafe”

We reserved a room here sight-unseen. We were led to believe it was a new motel downtown. It may be a "recently acquired" property for this chain, but there is nothing new about it. If this is Wyndham's "new" standard of quality, I will choose another hotel every time. It was a disgustingly outdated, nasty place. While the room appeared to have been cleaned, everything was so old and stained I felt dirty just standing in the room. Normally I would have taken a shower in the morning, but there I actually felt cleaner skipping it. The breakfast bar was 5 stale donuts sitting out on a plate. When we said it was too bad there was no sweetener available for coffee, since some people can't have sugar; the woman behind the counter said, "that's not my problem". Snow was melting off the roof and freezing below, forming a thick, slick, layer of ice, which should've been treated for safety. The only good thing we can say about this place is the young man who checked us in.
